SUNDAY OCTOBER 25TH

Volunteers Audrey, Sandra, Linda, Diana, Julie, Shirley worked extremely hard to lay a new path in the community garden. It was a day of foul weather, gales and torrential rain. Thanks to all who braved the weather and worked their wet socks off!

THE MUDDY BOOTS GROUP (seen right) from the local Carrick Learning Centre who are coming to the garden once a fortnight to learn the basics. We look forward to working with such an enthusiastic group, led by tutor Margaret Dick.

LATEST NEWS - FUNDING SUCCESS June 2009: We are delighted to report that we have been successful in obtaining European and Scottish Government funding from LEADER Ayrshire, with match funding from 'Awards For All', the Rural Grant Fund from South Ayrshire Council and private funding for a 'Women's Growing Project' in the Community Garden.

This will enable us to provide greenhouses, and other facilities on the site, together with courses, training and events, starting in September 2009.
